Concept
The design process for Torno Subito began with a deep dive into Lara and Massimo’s creative approach to risk and contradiction. The project team sought to capture the essence of their philosophy, embracing tension between opposing ideas and celebrating the beauty of imperfection. The goal was to create a space that reflected both the playfulness of the circus and the refined craftsmanship of Italian culture.
Layout
For the Torno Subito Miami project, AreaTonic was tasked with designing on the unused rooftop of the historic Epoca Building in Downtown Miami. The design integrated a huge exposed kitchen space, indoor and outdoor bars, a dining area, and a large terrace that needed specific ambiance and integration, all respecting its historic setting while meeting Miami's stringent urban and climatic demands.
